On Foot (approximate distance 1.4 miles)

At the top of the Waverley Steps cross Princes Street and turn left for approximately 500 yards, until you come to Frederick Street and turn right continue straight ahead onto Queen Street Gardens West and then onto Howe Street a total of 700 yards.

Turn left onto South East Circus Place then straight ahead onto Circus Place and then onto North West Circus Place. A total of 350 yards

Continue straight ahead onto Kerr Street and then straight ahead onto Deanhaugh Street, continue ahead on Raeburn Place until you come to Portgower Place and turn left the entrance to the ground is 100 yards on the right hand side.

By Car

From the North

Cross the Forth Road Bridge and travel into Edinburgh (A90) to the Barnton Junction, Continue into Edinburgh on Queensferry Road, which then becomes Hillhouse Road. Take the right hand fork (A90) at the fourth set of traffic lights and carry straight on, the road again becomes Queensferry Road. At the next set of traffic lights (Holiday Inn Hotel is on the right hand side) take the left hand fork down Craigleith Road (B900) continue straight on at the roundabout into Comely Bank Road and the car park is about 300 yards along on the left hand side.

From the South or West

On reaching the city bypass (A720) follow the road round to the Gogar Roundabout, follow the signs for the city centre and then take the left hand land and follow the A902 to the Barnton Junction, turn right and then follow the instructions as above.

By Train

Arrive at Waverley Station and then leave station by the Waverley Steps exit for Princess Street and follow instructions for walking or public transport.

By Air

Outside the terminal building public service bus stops are located at stand 18 on the terminal forecourt road outside the UK arrivals hall.

There is an express bus service to Edinburgh city centre (number 100) which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The ticket cost is £3.40 single, £5.00 return. (prices correct as of February 2005) Tickets can be brought from an onward travel desk in the UK arrivals hall, the airport information desk in the International arrivals hall, or on the bus itself.

The journey takes approximately 25 minutes and terminates at Waverley Bridge, near to the main railway station and bus station and is just off the city's main street, Princes Street.

The frequency of the service is from every 10 minutes at peak times through the day, to every 30 minutes at night. Thereafter follow instructions for walking or public transport.
